HELLO
And welcome… here’s a little about me… my design, advocacy, artwork, writing, spirituality, and care planning…
I have spent over 25 years doing three things: making things beautiful, organizing people and systems, and helping individuals and families navigate transitions. These aren't separate careers. They are three expressions of the same core impulse: helping people and systems become more whole.
I have spent time or lived on the Oregon Coast most of my life. I am rooted to this place and these people. I have worked for more than 25 years in design, fiduciary and guardianship work, and community organizing. I have been an ordained Spiritual Humanist minister since 2003. I practice Tibetan Buddhism (dharma name: Karma Dekyi Tsering). I read tarot, practice astrology and numerology, and study divination as a spiritual practice. I am a voracious reader, a hiker, a plant lover, a dog mama to five, a sculptor, a crafter, a collector of odds and ends, and a joyful liver of life.
At the foundation of everything I do is a simple belief. Chaos, disorder, and systems breaking down are invitations. They are places where something needs to be rebuilt, reimagined, or integrated more deeply with what actually matters.
When a design system is fragmented, I see an opportunity to create coherence and clarity. When a community is fractured or unmet, I see a chance to build connection and mutual care. When a family is facing a health crisis or end-of-life transition without clarity about values and wishes, I see the moment to get everyone on the same page so love can actually work.
The work looks different depending on the shape of the need. But the principle is the same: bring order, coherence, and integrity to systems so people can stop spinning and start living.
Each of my three work streams has its own page with details about what I offer, how I work, and how to get in touch.
Care Planning & Coordination: Advocacy for individuals and families navigating health transitions, estate planning, and the need to get clear about values and wishes before crisis hits.
Comprehensive care planning for individuals and families navigating health transitions, end-of-life wishes, and estate planning. I help people align their medical wishes, values, and personal characteristics with real healthcare decisions. I build care matrices, review medications, coordinate with providers, and guide families through the documents and conversations that prevent future crisis and squabble. This work is about getting clear before chaos hits, so everyone knows what matters.
Design & Web Services: For businesses and individuals who need visual clarity, beautiful systems, and intentional branding.
Web design, graphic design, visual branding, writing and creative direction. I help businesses and individuals articulate who they are and what they offer through clarity, beauty, and intentional systems. This work is about making the invisible visible. It requires seeing what's broken in the current system and rebuilding it so information flows, users understand, and the work can actually happen.
Spirituality & Community Work: For people involved in or interested in Astoria Harvest, community organizing, mutual aid, and spiritual practice.
Community organizing, mutual aid coordination, civic advocacy, oracle work, and spiritual practice. I help communities see what's actually needed and build the systems to meet those needs. This work is about listening to what wants to emerge, naming it, and creating structures where people can show up for each other. It is also deeply personal: my own spiritual practice (Tibetan Buddhism, ordination as a Humanist minister, daily divination) informs how I show up for others navigating their own transformation.
I learned a hard lesson years ago: trying to hold too many things at once burns you out and serves no one well. A family in crisis needs someone present and steady. A community organizing for mutual aid needs someone rooted and available. But sometimes I am in movement, or personal transition, or intensive focus on a specific project.
So I work with integrity about what I can actually hold.
All three of these work streams share the same values.
Integration over compartmentalization. I don't separate practical systems from consciousness, aesthetic beauty from functional systems, or personal spiritual practice from community responsibility. The revolution is not fought. It is demonstrated, one integrated choice at a time.
Clarity over complexity. Chaos often masquerades as complexity. But chaos is just disorder waiting to be organized. I see the underlying structures. I make the invisible visible. I help you understand what's actually happening so you can make decisions from clarity rather than confusion.
Capacity over dependence. Whether I am designing a website, organizing a community response, or building a care plan—I work to make myself unnecessary. I build capacity. I transfer knowledge. I hand things off. You learn by doing. When you no longer need me, my job is done.
Beauty matters. This is not separate from the practical work. A website that is beautiful and clear serves better than one that is merely functional. A community space that is welcoming and aesthetically thoughtful brings people in. A care plan that is organized and readable actually gets used. Beauty is not decoration. It is part of how systems work.
I have scaled organizations from startup to international scope. I have diagnosed what's broken in systems that others couldn't see. I’ve sat with families in crisis and helped them find clarity. I built websites and designed visual systems that actually work. I organized communities to respond to mutual aid needs. I’ve created art because beauty wants to know itself.
In seasons of stability and rootedness, I lead with care planning work. Families know where I am. I am reliably available. I can hold complexity and presence simultaneously.
In seasons of creative momentum or personal movement, I lead with design work. I can close my books to most things and focus. I can create new systems from scratch. I can build with intensity and completion.
The spiritual work, the community organizing and advocacy—this runs through everything. Astoria Harvest is woven into who I am. It doesn't stop when my focus shifts. But which work takes my primary energy depends on what I'm actually capable of that season.
Families who are overwhelmed and scattered, trying to manage too many things without a system, end up burnt out and frustrated just like I did. So the care planning work I offer is built on the same principle I live by: get clear, get organized, and close the loops that are draining you, so you can be present for what actually matters.
I have learned that another way is possible, and I spend my time helping others discover it too. How can I help you?
